Radio fault on Countryman
Discussion
Hi my wife has an All4 2011 countryman that has an intermittent fault with the radio. The radio will cut out for no reason and at the same time the parking sensors will also stop working. Car was purchased a year old from main dealer but is now out of warranty. Car was returned to the main dealer, who said as the radio and parking sensors are 1 unit it needs replacing. Cost £915 plus vat
The car went in to have some other work on the engine (fault still with radio) and when it came back radio worked perfectly for 4 months. My mum also has a 2014 mini cooper that had the same issue and unit replaced under warranty. My mini hampton radio works fine, but the lights on the unit go dim and then back to bright. maybe mine will pack up soon.
Firstly has any one else had the same issues with their radio? Who are the radio manufacturer and could i send the unit back, for i guess the dry solder to be fixed.
