The warranty on our 'family' Mini One is up for renewal, the car is 5 years old with 37k on the clock and I'm weighing up whether to continue with the current comprehensive cover (£340 with a £250 excess), or shop around. Be interested to know what others have done.

We opted to keep the Mini warranty going on the Countryman. With a £250 excess I think it's £45 per month for comprehensive cover and including breakdown cover.

I wouldn't bother with a third party warranty after bad experiences with two and only good experiences with my VW extended warranty.

Our 2010 Cooper S has 53k. We pay about £36 per month for the driveline MINI warranty. It covers the engine and gearbox with a £100 excess.
