Mini R53 Mini Cooper S - CD changer alternatives
Discussion
Not 100% sure if it will work with your head unit - you might need the Boost unit, or possibly a facelift head unit, but I've got a Denison Ice Link connected to the back of my Boost head unit, with an Ipod connected to it. This fools the head unit into thinking the ipod is the cd changer, and the MFSW buttons allow me to change tracks etc on the ipod. I even get the track name on the head unit display.
You got 2 different types of stock head units - Wave and Boost, Boost being the uprated version. If you google you can see which you have - the layout of the buttons is slightly different.
The Denison plugs into the back, and I've got the ipod in the glovebox with the cable connecting the 2 hidden in the dash so you can't see it. Works well, £50ish from memory
