F56 JCW suspension
Discussion
Most of the reviews of this car suggest the sport suspension is too hard and that you are better off with the VDC. I managed to track down a car with sport suspension and drive it back to back with a car on VDC, personally I think the car is much better on the sport suspension.
If you are thinking about ordering one of these I suggest you find a car with SS for a test drive before you place an order. Its firm but not harsh and fits the character of the car very well, I found the VDC too grown up and less involving. I believe the difference felt in this review was down to the suspension rather than the 15KG weight saving:

Both the sales managers at the 2 dealers I visited said they both prefered the SS running on 17" wheels to any other setup. If you spec a chill pack you can chose to downgrade to the 17" wheels. The car I drove was on 18" and it seemed fine on moderately bumpy country lanes. I know ride comfort is subjective but as a reference point this car is replacing a 2012 MX-5 which is fairly softly sprung, coming from that I don't find the SS too hard or crashy.
