Driving home from work today I heard the audible warning looked down to see Mini on ramp warning symbol (Yellow/Amber). Got home and scrolled through the check menu and got a code CC-ID 719. Car still drives perfectly Ok so hopefully noting serious. Can anyone here shed some light on what this code is???

There's a list here:
http://www.motoringalliance.com/library/all-about-...

but it doesn't include 719. Amber means it's non-critical, red is the go to dealer colour.

If the code 719 translates to a PO code, the 719 googles as PO719 - Torque Converter/Brake Switch B Circuit Low. As the car is a manual then maybe it's to do with Brake Switch B Circuit Low. Any idea what this means??

P.S. This is the service due info shown for a few seconds when you start the car:

Due in 2900 miles or by April 2013.

So if you are close to either of those, you could take it in for a service.

I think that is from the first gen cars (R50, R53) and the codes changed. It would mean a low brake pressure on one of the brake circuits. Cars have the brake lines arranged in an X pattern, so if one fails the car still brakes in a reasonably balanced way (front right + rear left, or front left + rear right). It might be as simple as a low brake fluid reservoir or a sticky brake servo-cylinder, weeping seal, etc.

To check if the brake fluid level is between the marks, open the bonnet and look at the right of the engine (as you view it) on the plastic area just below the windscreen is a flap about 6x3 inches. If you lift the front of this, the brake reservoir is revealed.

You may find the battery there, but not the brake fluid, look on the other side

Had the car on the diagnostics today, came up with the following. CC-ID 719 translates to the ABS module, this was cleared and so far has not returned, amber car on ramp symbol also gone. However the little warning triangle next to the mileage remains. Further investigation revealed the code AOAA, something to do with the immobiliser/steering lock, will need to get it looked in to as this code will not clear. Only had the car 2 months so going back to the dealer.

It turned out to be the ABS/DSC unit.

I have the same. Took it to garage and they cleared it and he said its might be the cas module. Would you say it is the abs unit?

If i remember rightly it turned out to be a connection to the abs control unit, wire was repaired and all was good.

I had no abs light either just car on ramp. Check connections first as the abs unit is £££££'s Sold my car so after as electrical gremlins were becoming expensive.
