I've just purchased one of these for my sister, 110k on the clock , 11 months MOT , patchy history , few small scratches here and there.

I drove the 100 miles plus back home and it was a pleasure to drive. At MOT time it had the rear discs and pads replaced, however it still feels like you have to stamp on the brakes a little ?

It also has the panoramic sunroof.

Are there any preventative measures I should be looking at taking for the car / roof ?

My sister lives over in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Any recommended Mini independent garages in that area .

Thanks,
Nick

The roofs can play up, and are very expensive! Whole assy often. The brakes can feel wooden, but depends on what's been fitted, maybe check the calipers are all free, the rears stick, check the parking brake mech is all free and working, maybe a bleed will help.

Then stick a cam in it and get it mapped haha

Change pads, as some will make breaking feel wooden.

Dont bother modding it, keep it standard and buy an S if you want more power

I'd put some white grease on the moving bits of the sunroof, and clear the drains (they block up quite easily). The latter is a messy job, but it needs to be done smile
