R56 2006/07 Sat Nav - Other uses?

Hey, so Ive been trying to google this for a while and have had trouble finding an answer... I assume because the sat nav wasn't a very popular option!?

I may be taking a look at a 2006/07 R56 second hand next week, which instead of the normal big centre dial has the sat nav. Which I assume, as a 10 year old sat nav, won't be all that great!

So I was wondering.. does the screen have other options? Can it be left on... I dont know, trip computer readouts or something more interesting/useful? Or will it be a big blank screen if I'm not satnavving?

Just because I think I would prefer a big retro looking dial than a blank screen :P

It shows a trip computer normally, but can show a few other things too from memory.

Get an update disc and the sat nav works just fine.
