Driving home from work tonight and the yellow engine light came on.
Drop in power but did manage to limp it home as didn't fancy the hard shoulder of the M25. Sadly i'm no mechanic, but when I look down into the engine bay, the 2nd spark plug/lead from the left appear to be loose. The others are all sitting flush, but this 1 appears to have popped up, (if you know what i mean?)
Engine sounds and runs a bit lumpy, but if i push down on the lead it appears to go back to normal tickover at idle.
Sadly don't have any tools, (told you I was no mechanic) but fiddled around with it for abit to see if it would sort of connect/sit back in place properly but had no joy.
So any ideas people, is this a common silly fault that is a minor fix, or should I fear the worse, that there is a bigger picture???
Any thoughts or ideas gratefully recieved as this is not ideal at the mo, as i've just started the 2nd week of a new job and its a 144 mile round trip frown
Car is on 59700 miles and had been fine until this.

JUST TO ADD
Did a search on old posts so looking like a trip to the garage, re ht leads, coil packs etc.

Watch for spark plugs coming loose! They do, and take the threads with them, so check first, more on S but still happens
