Hey guys,

I've just bought a 2010 R56 Mini Cooper S and am looking to turn into a race car to compete in events.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and could give me any advice? I'm looking to change pretty much everything and strip out the inside to put in a roll cage, bucket seats, etc.

Also, I read somewhere about someone who changed he engine to a more powerful one? Does anyone know what kind of engine could be put in there in its place? Or is it just worth keeping the original 1.6 and tuning it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Theo.

Look up Performance Torque near Kidderminster for a remap.

I've got a 2010 Jcw Clubman Cooper S, had it re-mapped by 1320MINI/Manic Motorsport, which along with an AEM intake/Evolve Sportcat Downpipe/Airtec FMIC made 268bhp & 260ft/lbs smile

The car is a daily drive but has also got adjustable coilovers & adjustable RCA's too as it does the odd track day or 2.

Definitely recommend 1320MINI for any tuning/mapping, they're based in St. Neots, near Cambs

Also have a look at the MINI Torque forum, loads of great MINI tuning/suspension/engine advice there thumbup
