Servicing - PDI date versus Registration Date
Discussion
We have a Cooper which was registered on 1st June 2012.
I have noticed today though that all the time based maintenance within the iDrive system appears to be programmed using March and not June as the month due. It therefore had it's first oil service last March and not last June on its 2nd birthday.
The same is true of the brake fluid (Due March) and the statutory vehicle inspection (MOT, allegedly due March).
A quick flick through the documents reveals that the cars PDI inspection was in March but it was not registered until June. Consequently it's MOT is due in June and not March and therefore the iDrive is wrong. However, is it also wrong for the oil service we've already had the and impending brake fluid change?
Is time based maintenance from date of first registration or date of PDI?
Thanks!
