Mini 5dr Purchased
Discussion
Finally, after years of SWMBO wanting cars that she "needs", I've managed to persuade her to buy a car she "wants".
Been looking at he usual Jap shopping trollies, Nissan Note, Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz, all circa £15k, when I suggested we take a trip to Mini for a look.
Ended up with a Mini One 5dr, in Moonwalk Grey, with optional Helios alloys, delivery due March.

Very nice, good to see someone sticking with the correctly sized wheels!
The MINI configurator definitely needs a good kicking, not least because Moonwalk Grey looks very different in real life compared to configurator images;
I was going to get black jack roof decals & black bonnet stripes fitted at the dealer as a birthday pressie for the wife, but looking at pic 2 I'm not so sure.The MINI configurator definitely needs a good kicking, not least because Moonwalk Grey looks very different in real life compared to configurator images;
If we hadn't seen a Moonwalk one in the showroom we would never have considered it, it's a great colour.

I think the black stripes would look great. If we hadn't seen a Moonwalk one in the showroom we would never have considered it, it's a great colour.
For Mrs Pints it's a deal breaker if a MINI doesn't have stripes on it.
Congrats. I looked at one of these recently and am mildly tempted, they do look rather fun and some of them are surprisingly powerful (at least I was surprised).
They look a lot better than the Countryman IMHO.
What did you/SWMBO think of the interior ergonomics? I found them rather hard to get on with. Some switches were quite low down and if you put the front armrest down you can't reach the handbrake easily...I'm sure I could get used to it but I'm not sure whether it would end up annoying me.

I think the ergonomics are just a case of it being different from 'normal' cars and we'll get used to it.They look a lot better than the Countryman IMHO.
