Front Seat runners

We've had our Mini One for 6 months, it's 3 years old. A couple of weeks ago the passenger seat runner started sliding all the way back after the seat had been pulled forward to let people in/out the back and now it's happened to the drivers seat. The car is under extended warranty so I'm not too concerned, but is this a common fault?
