Car unlocked, Windows Open
Discussion
Went to wash my wife's car this morning and pressed the blipper to unlock it. But it was already unlocked.
When i moved around the side of the car i noticed both the windows were half way open. I am assured that it was not left this way by my wife!
Any idea's what could cause this?
Car is a MINI One, i seem to remember some similar (and unnerving!) stories about high end BMW's i London just before they were pinched, but not Boggo MINI's in west sussex villages.

Has it got auto open/close windows when you unlock/lock? Bet she pressed the wrong button and unlocked by mistake. Not on a mini but I've done that before because you have to hold the lock button down to fold the mirrors in
Yep, I've doen this a couple of times too. Someone has probably sat on the key or something has rested on the unlock button in a bag, etc.I used to have a Vauxhall where you could close the windows by holding the lock button on the fob. I also thought it was cool to exit via the window and then close it using the fob, remotely.
One day I failed to close it properly and my expensive new Alpine HU was nicked
I stopped being such a dick after that.

I tried pressing all sorts of combinations on the key to make the windows open but couldn't make it happen, its possible the key got pressed by accident to open it, but i don't know how the windows could have got opened. Does anyone know if there is a 'trick' to opening the windows on a MINI with the key?
We had this problem with my wife's Mini, no keys were sat on
The battery would also be flat when we tried to start the car. We had BMW assist out to the car each time and they were very good but couldn't locate the fault. After the third or fourth time of finding the car open it was taken away by BMW and they eventually fitted a new ECU of some sort which fixed the problem.
