Tyre Advice please
Discussion
Am sick of the runflats on my 2010 Min Cooper S 205/45/17 so am in the market for a new set of tyres - anyone who has bought recently have any recommendations?
Priorities are ride comfort (runflats have been awful), longevity and quietness along with decent wet weather traction - would also be interested in hearing if there are any offers on at the moment too

On my wifes Cooper S Convertible I fitted Hankook V12 Evo which were a lot quieter, ride better and grip a lot better wet or dry. That's comparing to the Euphoria RFs that were on there.
On my old Cooper I didn't have the option if the Hankooks (not available in that size) so I fitted Falken 914. They were much much better than the Goodyear NCT RFs that were on it, much better ride, quieter and better wet weather grip but not as good as the V12s.

I started this a while ago & am sticking with them as they have been great

Ive just put some Khumo Ku39's on the front of mine, albeit run flats (yes i know, but personal choice) they are very good, dry and wet grip is more than adequate. Seeme really good in standing water and rain.
I think they are the sweet spot for value for money and performance, a nice wide tyre with decent rim protection in 205/45/17 flavour.
Will be getting the same on the rear, i got a front pair for £200 delivered.

I have just replaced a set of Conti's (on the front), with a set of P Zero's - so far they have been excellent in all conditions, a real step change for the better.
In the past I have also used Dunlop SP Sports - 'OK' at everything but not really good at anything. Pirelli Eufori's - total rubbish at everything, Conti Sport Contacts, good in the dry but rubbish in the wet and wore out extremely quickly.
P Zero's were expensive but the best so far....

Swapped Dunlop RF's for same size Pirelli P Zero Neros on my R56 MCS in April. Transformation in driving characteristics really does justify the change, handling remained pretty much as intended, no real increase in understeer or reduction turn-in response to be worth commenting on. Stability in corners particularly where surface is poor, vastly improved, now possible to maintain progress without fear of disappearing through the nearest hedge. Ride, esp harshness as discussed on numerous occasions, has changed from barely acceptable to firm but feeling of being more at one with the road. Changed to loaded R57
MCS vert in July, had the tyres swapped on change over day - now have my perfect mini aside from continuing timing chain and oil consumption concerns!!
