My wifes mini has failed MOT on high emissions. The tester said it was ok on CO and Oxygen. I know its not much to go on but has anyone any idea what the fault could be. Its a 2007 model.
Does it only do short journeys at low revs? Probably carbon build up, my dad’s 2007 Cooper had the same problem. Give it a good A-road blast (a.k.a. an Italian tune-up) or maybe try a fuel additive to ‘clean out the pipes’
I have had a new cat pipe fitted as that was leaking. Now the emissions are better but still not low enough. Is the only answer to have it plugged into a computer?
BMW scanner or genetic fault finder? Lots of scanners if nit the official BMW one will not show all faults logged. Might just need a good run as mentioned before to clear it out
