I think I want stripes...

I really can't decide. On one hand, I like my cars clean, monochrome sort of look, then on the other, I want some stripes.

This is mine now:


I saw another Dark Silver S the other week with Spotlamps (which I also think I want) and some black bonnet stripes. However, I don't think those will work that well with my body colour roof and mirrors, so I quite like the idea of one Viper Stripes.

I think I want these:

This poses another issue. Do I go for Silver stripes, or black stripes?

Also, does anyone know a good place around Surrey/Sussex/Hants to get them fitted?

Personally, I love the black with outer red detailing. That would link nicely to the calliper colour , IMHO.


I would however go for the 'V' shape and on the bonnet alone as I am personally less keen on the front to back ones. Especially given your sunroof would break it up.

Don't put stripes on it. They completely ruin MINIs. They only work on Classics.

I put some on mine and took them back off. The clean look is so much better.

Here's mine without the stripes. I've since modified the car further but on the stripe front, much better without!

Had a play on the Configurator DVD thing I got with the car, whilst the colour isn't quite right and it's missing the JCW skirts, that's sort of how I want it to look.

Though I'm still undecided about the stripes, I'd quite like some black spots, and as some git scuffed a mirror the other day, I, thinking about getting them, the scoop & boot handle carbon dipped as actual carbon bits are eye-wateringly expensive. Some US-Spec wheel arches wouldn't go amiss either...





Roof rack is coming, but I won't be keeping it on all the time, just for use its the bikes!
