Hello,
Any help advise would be great full ??
I would like to buy a Mini Cooper s,

budget is about £4000 what would I suspect to get ??

also seen a difference in the engines turbo or super charger ??

is this early or late ??

Turbo better or supercharger better ??

Which makes a difference in tax and fuel consumption ?

Would like the better one on fuel but which one is this ??

What is the road tax for this car ??

And realistic what mpg do you get with average driving most of the time but also when you do have a play ??which is what you buy this sort of car for lol

Thanks

The turbo version came out around 56 reg, and I doubt you'd get one of those for your budget. Have a look around here and Minitorque and you'll find a whole ruck of info on the R53 (supercharged) Cooper S.

£4000 will get you an early R53 (supercharge) mini

High car tax at £270 dire on fuel 28mpg approx, low 20s if you give like you stole it, low 30s if you drive a old woman.

But..

Better mini then the R56 on the handling front, and thats what a mini is all about smile

Just bought the wife a hyper blue 54 plate facelift with FSH and 65k miles for 4k pounds.
Real smart looking car.
Has Xenons, full leather, heated seats, chrono pack, harmony kardon, digital climate...
Mpg is always over 30mpg,
We used to get that in a John Cooper Works she used to have too.
I am in the process of making it a little quicker with a 17% pulley, intercooler and ss manifold with sports cat
