VIN location? 2003 Mini Cooper S

anyone know where its located? going to view one this evening & I know these can be quite aloof sometimes

A little late for you probably, but for info on my 2005 S, the VIN is stamped on the driver's side suspension turret and printed in the bottom corner of the windscreen on the passenger's side.

ended up bagging a 2004 cooper S for my better half, we're very pleased with it apart from the back box needs replacing, how much!!
