A 2004 R50; very smart in black with white roof & mirrors & half leather.

It also has some 18" multi cross spoke alloys (OEM from new I believe).

Anyway, it's great to drive smile

Miles are average for age and the gearbox is slick & precise as is the clutch operation.

I need to sort out the rear wiper (seized motor I think) & the aircon isn't all that cold.

Other than that, it's the best one I looked at despite having more miles on the clock.

Pics to follow after a wash and hoover smile

Not washed & polished yet but here it is.

What a cracking drive they are.

Not particularly fast (feels slow against my 258bhp e60 530i) but nippy enough.

It handles like a go kart smile

It's like driving an older car but a bit more refined, you don't feel disconnected from the whole experience like you do in most modern cars.

Lovely car there matey. I'm genuinely over the moon with my R50. I bought it for the GF but it's basically mine now as I use it all the time. They are indeed a fantastic steer.

I've got a '03 Pepper White Cooper with a Black roof, panoramic sunroof and checker board on the front wings and mirror caps. I love it. Hopefully you'll enjoy yours too.

It looks great with those wheels. If you don't mind me saying so, I'd be inclined to ditch the rubber mats and get some lovely plush Mini mats. They look so much nicer.

Once you have a mini you'll struggle to replace it... Unless it's another mini!

Nice car!!!

Looks great! I think that is Black II, quite a sought after colour because it wasn't offered for very long, looks brilliant. Enjoy!

Just bought an identical one to yours (minus the wheels) for the wife.

Fantastic little car and great fun. I keep wanting to steal it off her.

Wish we got an S but need to do some miles with it so sensible hat was on. Already thinking to upgrading to r56 s in a year.

You can get a silly amount of money for those wheels. You should replace them with 16s or 17s. 18s look too big on R50s in my opinion.

Don't think they will have been from factory too as they're R56 wheels.

Welcome to the wonderful world of MINI!

Thanks all for the kind words & helpful tips.

Re, the wheels, my mistake in that they're not 18", they're 17".
