looking to buy a cooper s but a bit worried by the number of issues relating to water pump and supercharger/engine issues.

Is there anything i should be made aware of....typical costs for fix these (not dealer)

Water pumps occasionaly leak on r56 minis and wouod be around 200 to replace(I can do this for you) but as you mentioned supercharger you are probably looking at r53 and I could count on one hand the amount of chargers and water pumps I have seen replaced (I have worked on them for 11 years). As long as they have been serviced properly and well maintaned they should go on and on. Hope this helps
