Yep, my 03 Cooper had 16" Goodyear NCT5 RFs when I bought it.Exactly as MX-5 Lazza says.
There was no other option when we bought it new in 03 - she has kept them on despite the numerous punctures as at least she can get home safely with a flat tyre.

They are nowhere near as bad as the RFT's were on my old 130i M Sport. The change to PS3's was dramatically better...and then I sold it.
I may change from RFT's on my JCW once they need replacing but, as my wife nicks it when she has a longer trip, I am inclined to indulge her and look for the best riding RFT's - if such a thing exists - than change to real tyres and a can of foam.
Let's face it, in the south east, foam tyres would still be harsh on our roads.
