Mini GP glove box fitting - ?
Discussion
I bought a 2006 Mini GP last year and my only bug bear is the lack of any storage for small items. I have put plenty of things on the rubberised shelf but they inevitably fall into the footwells.
Anyway do I just need an R56 glove box complete or are there other bits and pieces I need to buy? Is it pretty much 'plug and play' or is cutting required.
Any help appreciated. I realise that I have a small audience to ask. I did see someone at Spa with a glovebox fitted into his GP.

It'd be R53 bits you'd need and from what I remember it was a simple job with no cutting required.
You could check the diagrams on www.realoem.com as well and it'll give you an idea of what the bits might cost (site shows prices in US$ so won't be spot on but is handy for part numbers when ordering / pricing off BMW)
There might even be someone selling the bits second hand on there, worth asking.
It's the best of the GP-specific forums by a mile.
