Hi,

I have in the past owned a early SWB Turbo R (non fuel injected) with the uprated handling kit.

However, I would like to acquire another Turbo as the first was missed greatly and have found at a reasonable cost a 1995 Turbo S.

Can anyone shed light on the day to day difference in performance and handling, I understand the car has a little more power and larger wheels compared to the Turbo R. I'm looking for a driving car which I can use everyday and SWB or is there another Model more suited to my requirements (aren't all the later models LWB?).

Pretty much the same, except for a liquid intercooler IIRC, more power at 408bhp, more torque at 590lb/ft, different wheels. Only 60 produced. I would like one.

Would love one too! The rarity of the Turbo S makes it just a little more special than a "regular" Turbo R, which imo is already rather special! smile

But I vaguely remember reading that some components specific to the Turbo S are no longer available from stock - if I remember correctly it is difficult to find parts for the engine management system. Suggest it is worth checking with your local dealer/specialist to confirm.

Please post some photos when you've bought it!

I would speak to Nigel Sandell, www.nsandell.com as I am fairly certain that he services the car you are looking at and think he introduced me to the owner briefly at last year's annual rally.
