It's not normally my style (most of my posts on here are about Caterham racing or TVRs), but I had a recent first drive in a Silver Spirit - quite an old one (from 1985), but even so, I was very impressed - a lovely car, very smooth, very calm, and it felt like a great way to get away from road rage - just sit back, enjoy the wood and leather ambience, and cruise along at 40mph!!!

And what good prices, too - you get a lot of car for £10k - what are running costs like? I guess the engine/transmission is pretty solid/reliable, but are there other hidden costs in running a car like this? Fuel obviously, but I was thinking about mechanical repairs/etc?

thanks,
Richard

there's a couple of recent good threads about buying Bentley Turbo R - have a poke around.

in essence, it's just the same as the Silver Spirit, but with 400+ lb ft available at any engine speed
