Nothing apparent on the website, so I've copied this out from the last club newsletter.
Saturday.
9.00 - 12.00 Practice, 13.00 onwards racing.
1. Equipe GTS
2. Morgans
3. Vintage/PVT Handicap
4. Masters Pre-66 GT cars
5. Bentley Scratch
6. Morgan/AC/MG
7. Bentley Handicap
8. Thoroughbred Championship
9. Allcomers Handicap
Sunday.
10.00 - 12.15 Practice, 13.00 onwards racing.
1. Aston Martin Pre-War team
2. Equipe GTS
3. Bentley & Invitation Scratch
4. Aston Martin 50's
5. Masters Pre-66 Touring cars
6. Aston Martin Championship
7. Sunbeam Tigers
8. Aston Martin Pre-War team
9. Allcomers Scratch
Usually there is the Bentley Parade at 12.00, all Bentleys whether competing or not cruise around the circuit for a few laps.
There will be the Le Mans cars parading too, and the Napier Railton, and probably a few new cars doing demo runs, usually a famous driver in a Conti GT.

C7, I don't know if you are coming in a Bentley, or have any Bentley chums? But if you want to do a few laps of the track on the lunchtime Bentley parade, come and find me, I will have space in my car (it's commonplace to bum a ride in a spare seat anyway). We usually form up on the old infield runway from about 11am, ready to go on track at 12 noon.
Green Bentley Turbo R, registration number WAR83N.
See you on Saturday,
Warren.

Hi there,
Absolutely gutted than I am going to miss this, the Bentley Drivers Club event has to be one of my favourite events of the year. I have been for the last two years and this year is special as it is for the 60th Anniversary. I am going on holiday on Friday and not back until late on the 16th August.
Please can anyone that is going take loads of pics, especially of the EXP Speed 8 when its out on track (and particularly if there is more than one). Also can you take some pics of the new Supersports as I assume there will be a few there (especially if there are any that are not white or grey).
Here are some pics from last year: -

The short circuit is used, most of the grandstands are open and free, including the BRDC one too. Open access to all areas, pits etc.
Priory, Luffield and Woodcote is generally a laugh if you like seeing them fall off (Simon & Stuart in the Turbo R racers) Copse is great for seeing folks lose it powering out and then gathering it all back again (or not!) Then there's Maggotts and Becketts, which is not far to walk to, and that's your lot anyway on the short circuit.
Pete, see my earlier post regarding the Bentley parade.

thanks again,

It was a brilliant weekend, the weather was great for Fri/Sat/Sun.
Yes, Sunday was fairly quiet, usually it is just the Saturday, and Saturday was heaving.
The Bentley parade at noon was massive, and due to the sheer number of cars this year, it was a little disappointing as safety concerns had to take priority. So only two laps, two abreast, no overtaking and a fairly slow cruise around.
Unfortunately Simon & Stuart had a poor weekend race wise, with both Turbo R's suffering gearbox overheating problems in the first race on Saturday and both cars dropping out for the rest of the day, same story on the Sunday
But Alastair in his MKVI special made up for it with a 2nd place on the Sunday
The camping was great too, too much to drink, too much junk food and munchies, as well as world class Bentley arsing about on the Friday & Saturday nights, going into Towcester for a curry in the safety car Conti GT
It was good to briefly meet PH'er John Coventry on the Saturday, and put a face to the name.
Sorry if I missed seeing any of you, I should have put my mobile number on the car.
Here's to next year.

That was the race my father won as it happens.....only had 4th gear too as the 'box blew on Sat. Do you know what happened to the second Worthington Turbo in that race? I was at the bottom of the pit straight and it just disappeared! Oops....you covered that already Silly me.

I was going to ask who your father was? Now I know! Well done, great result. I was with Simon & Stuart & Alastair most of the weekend in the same garage, so I probably saw you on the Sunday, I was the muppet in the Pith helmet Gassing Station | Bentley & Rolls Royce | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
