Purple People Eater

A few photos from Saturday at the RREC Rally at Kelmarsh. Fantastic weather and a great day out. I particularly liked the purple Shadow. Apparently the original colour as the first owner had business dealings with ICI and had the factory paint it as a 'one off'. There was even an original tin of spare paint in the boot! Definitely the kind of car I could imagine Elton John driving around in circa 1973

There is a similarly coloured Ghost on the market somewhere at present. I am not sure that it would be my first choice, but it clearly demontrates either great courage, unique style, or a sense of humour!
