Setting up a wedding car business
Discussion
Hi guys
I hope you don't mind me posting in here but do any of you know whats involved in setting up a little sideline hiring yourself and your car out for weddings etc.
I assume I would need some kind of 'public liability' insurance - but is there anything else - like medicals and licences etc.
thanks in anticipation

hi own a wedding car/ self drive prestige car hire business. been running for around 3 years. took alot of effort to where i am now. if you going to set this up you have to consider all options pricing, costs paying a chuaffeur to drive your car or cars its not something you can set up and make big money from but it does give a good return if ran correctly.
I'm only thinking of doing the odd weekend jobs and I will do the chauffering.
It came partly from someone asking if I was going to use my car for weddings and I got to thinking why not? - I enjoy driving, I have the car anyway, and I might make enough to cover annual maintenance insurance etc. - Its not aimed at being a money spinner - I will be at the bottom end of the market in the where its a close choice between "having a car for the wedding and not having a car".
A bit like when I do wedding photos just to fund camera equipment.
So I was enquiring about what hoops I need to jump thru and then what costs it would incurr just to earn a small amount.
