Watched the original 1968 "Thomas Crown Affair" last night with McQueen and Dunnaway. Fantastic!! Really terrific and so much better (as usual) than the remake. Try to watch it.. Anyway, real star of the show (except Dunnaway in the Chess scene!) is the 1968 Silver Shadow MPW 2-dr (which later became the Corniche. Really cool especially with McQueen at the wheel.

Makes you realize you're wasting your money on the Conti GT and even admit my Arnage looks too bling in comparison. We should all be saving our depreciation money and buy classic gems like this.. must be cheaper to buy and to run/service, especially per mile if you use as a daily driver?

Does anyone have one?

Absolutely agree with you sir. The perfect car for blasting down to the Riviera.

Here's one I was looking at online just a few days ago...

Oh, and here's a link to some info on the Thomas Crown car itself. Sold for US$60,OOO at the McQueen auction a couple of years ago. Not a bad price, considering the outrageous prices that McQueen related items have been fetching recently!

Why just looking, why not buy the car? How good does that look? Don't recognise the colour, though, its not Silver Mink, or Mediterranean Blue.
