Hello chaps.

Have an '07 phantom which really has not seen much use besides running around the countryside a few times to summer home.

The wife finds it annoying, and it would seem to be rather uneconomical to sell the old girl. The car, the car, chaps.

How does one go about considering letting it be used as an occasional use thing? I mean like weddings or other such things. Perhaps this would lessen its burden on my financial conscience.

Much appreciated.

Are you looking to drive it/advertise it yourself or maybe hire it out to a company that does wedding cars in the area?

Thanks for that arryb.

I have found someone who is going to do all the dirty work for me. Hopefully no dirty work as such.

The old girl has got to pay for herself.. I have put her on the streets like any good man would. hehe

It would be ungentlemanly to do so!

In approximate terms, however, I do believe it would at least offset the depreciation, and give me a few poubds more besides.

Have you got a photo of the lovely motor - always nice to see a Phantom!

The fact that I don't have pics of just the car is perhaps a testament to how relatively unattached I am to it. It is a superlative beast, but somehow, one is so expecting it to be so, that one is not quite as amazed as one ought to be. Unlike say my old E-type, which continually amazed me with its actual ability, considering its age.

The only shots of the Phantom are with Mrs Potato and/or the children poxying around it or in it with it there almost by coincidence, mostly around the summer home; not a good idea to put ones' wife up on the interwebnet I believe; not without a profit motive anyway hehe

The hirers will put some shots of it on their website once they are ready to use it; will let you have the links if/when they do.

I enquired and was offered this deal:
£300 per month for them to store/garage/service/insure it

And then they will pay me £2 per mile driven .... were you offered a similar deal?

I dont feel this is even close to a decent deal....with the wear and tear it'll go through! Especially yours being a brand spanking (alost) new 07 model!

Mr Potato - can you supply the link to the hire company?

Any other Phantom owners provide their car for chauffeur wedding services in proxmity to Poole, Dorset for anything other than silly money? Getting married in June this year and looking to get the Mrs picked up in a Phantom, must be the ultimate wedding car?!
