Bentley Drivers Club Annual Day at Silverstone - some pics
Discussion
Hi there,
Had a really good few hours at Silverstone today for the annual Bentley Drivers Club event.
I have been to this event for the past two years and will definately be going again.
Its a chance to have a good look round some stunning cars and watch a bit of good old fashioned racing.
Also the highlight for me is the fact that Team Bentley run the EXP Speed 8 in a series of demonstration laps. The car they run is a works development car that has been converted to a 2 seater so that a few lucky VIP's can have a ride in this superb car.
Last year the car was driven by Le Mans winner Guy Smith, today it was driven by none other than 5 times Le Mans Winner Derek Bell. Managed to have a chat with him, what a nice guy and really passionate about his cars.
Sadly the EXP Speed 8 runs were cut short today due to heavy rain (loads of pictures to follow). The lucky VIP in the passenger seat today was HRH Prince Michael of Kent who apparently is a huge Bentley Fan.
Anyway enough waffle and onto the pics (please click each image to view full size version): -
Bentley Brooklands
Bentley Azure
Bentley Continental GT Speed
Continental GT's out on track during the owners Parade
Continental R Mulliner
Original Azure
You don't get many of these out on track at Silverstone
Some more shots from the owners parade
Hope you like the pics.
Regards
Tim
