Hi everyone. Thing about pulling the trigger on one of these bad boys. It's a low mileage 06. Has anybody here driven one or owned (or even owns) one? I know it's fitted with carbon ceramic brakes and my main concern is whether these work well for daily London driving or are too 'on or off' as some cars fitted with ceramic brakes can be. Any feedback much appreciated. Thanks

Take it for a test drive and see. The std brakes on my spur are more than enough for me. With ceramics I'd be worried about on / off action, squealing, lack of feel, and lastly cost of parts. I know legend has it that these outlast the car - not on 911s they don't and cost many '000s to replace.

The Carbons are a lot better for fast road use, but they are equally as good around town if slightly on /off with a little more pedal travel than the std brakes, cost for parts ? you'll only ever have to change the pads the disc's are pretty much bullet proof and unless your lighting them up on a track all day long you'll never have to change them. For me the wheels on the Diamond are the best looking for the car (speed incl)and of coarse it's a LTD edition so will hold residuals better than the standard and the Meteor colour suit's the car down to the ground.
