RREC & BDC annual rallies & concours.

Anyone going to either of them?
The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club is at Kelham Hall, on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd June, and is for all Rolls Royces, Rolls Royce Bentleys, and VAG Bentleys, but NOT real Bentleys (which is funny, they don't accept real Bentleys).
Whilst the Bentley Drivers Club is at Rousham House on Saturday 28th June, and is for all Bentleys, be they real Bentleys, Rolls Royce Bentleys or VAG Bentleys, but NOT for Rolls Royces (which is funny, as most of the Bentleys there will be Rolls Royces anyway).
I am going to both, so if anyone wants to meet up for a drink or to punch me let me know.

I may be going to the RREC do, but we've got an 8 month old dog and she's now too big to sit on my wife's lap!
It's Kelmarsh Hall for the RREC, by the way. I didn't know of the 'not real Bentleys' bit about the RREC. I know that ownership isn't a requirement though for membership of the RREC.
Rgds,
Andy

With the 'not real Bentleys' thing, I just meant that you will find no reference to WO Bentleys within the RREC or on the RREC website as they were nothing to do with Rolls Royce. Vintage ownership is no bar of course, but WO's will not be part of any concours or display at an RREC event. Although you might see them in the car park with all the other non-Royces.

Is that because they only recognise post 1931 Bentleys (or whenever RR bought them)?
But rather bizarrely, they do accept VAG platformed Bentleys which came after Rolls Royce had split apart from Bentley, yet those cars have no more to do with Rolls Royce than did the WO ones.
It's a funny old RR/Bentley world.

Still undecided as to whether to go to Kelmarsh. Last year we only went on the Sunday as Saturday was raining rather heavily. This year the pooch may mean we can't go!
Are you serious? Shoot it.Still undecided as to whether to go to Kelmarsh. Last year we only went on the Sunday as Saturday was raining rather heavily. This year the pooch may mean we can't go!
I had a filthy rotten cold, but it didn't spoil the day for me (I did make sure that I kept my distance from friends, no hand shakes or 'mwa, mwa' on each cheek)
It did appear to be a very relaxed day, and lower numbers than usual I thought?
Franz's Graber bodied S1 was rather nice
Will post pics a bit later, probably in GG as they may be of broader interest to confine to the RR&B forum.
