Dad has recently bought an 1963 Bentley S3 with special bodywork by Mulliner (I think!).

The only thing it appears to be missing is a handbook. Can anyone recommend the best place to look for one (other than ebay)?

Need to know what tyre pressures should be!!

Many thanks.

thats nice!

im currently welding up (in fits and starts) a s1 my dad bought a few years ago.

just striking up the courage to cut the old rear chassis leg off and fit the new one - damm battery leaking its acid!

then its the bottom 6" of the rear wings, a 'tickle' of filler, a thick coat of paint, and we will be wafting again!

god, its had some welding, and some terrible stuff done to it in the past (not by me), so far its swallowed a whole mini roof and half a xj6 roof!

my dad doesnt really like it (too new) but i love it, its a real nice looking car imho

tyres

8.20 x 15, (standard size tyre) front 19 lbs, rear 26 lbs ('english' driving)

7.60 x 15, (continetals and higher spec) front 22, rear 24 ('english' driving)

7.60 x 15 high speed, front 27, rear 30

7.60 x 15 really thrashing it, front 30, rear 35

all tested cold and for a s1, but i guess yours will be the same

dont discount ebay, my dad got a full set of five avon turbo speeds for ours, nearly new for about 70 quid the set! the seller was swopping onto modern tyres!

figures taken from the s1 workshop manual
