yikes

Looks like an original 8 litre mascot to me.

If so, that is a very nice possession indeed, and worth quite a lot of money. Well, several hundred quid anyway.

They were fitted to some 6 1/2 litre and 8 litre Bentleys. So it dates from the late twenties. Looks like it's mounted on a wheel bearing hub nut from a similar model. What a lovely find! Keep it. They are quite rare and very collectible.

its a w.o type bentley mascot from the 20s, rather than a derby type from the 30's

my dad reckons that if its a genuine one (there are a lot of copies and modern fakes) it could be worth around a grand.

very desirable, as like the rolls mascots they are often nicked or misplaced.

a very nice find, the rest of the cars not under your floor as well is it?

I would have paid a lot more for it than that, had I known it was for sale. Oh well.

I bet it will take you longer to turn that 180 quid into over a grand; than if you had offered it to the right people first!!!!DOHHH Why don't you give P&A Wood a call and ask them what it's worth, and have a hanky ready.
