Up for 11,500

Bentley Turbo R 1990 H reg

Now give me some good reasons why this will be a total money pit?

Also, can anyone recommend a Bentley Specialist in the North East who could inspect it?

Keen price, trade money really. I would take the FBSH with a pinch of salt. There are eight schedules, so it should have a 1 to 8, twice, in the correct order. If it had got that, and it was in really nice nick, it would be mid to high teens. My guess is the car, and its history, is average. Nowt wrong wi that though. Money pit? Couple of grand a year in fuel, couple of grand or more a year for servicing & maintenance. A set of later wheels & tyres would transform it too, a couple of grand. Everything is a couple of grand, once or thrice a year.

Very subtle BG - did everyone spot the "or more" neatly inserted after the couple of grand for servicing and maintenance!!

Seriously though, what a car for the money. If I had a £12K budget for a toy at the moment.... Mrs XXPLOD would kill me!

If I fully completed the 'costs' for BG under my car in my profile, folks would think me certifiable, and rightly so. I spent more than it was worth painting it last year. If I was going to buy one, I would only buy mine.

And the image........pure Arthur Daley.

If you want to look like Arfur or you want to drive round in a wedding banger, then buy it!

And the point of that gratuitous unkindness was? If I took the trouble to wander over to the TVR forums and make a derogatory comment about red Tuscans, that would be nice wouldnt it? FFS.

What about a Shadow? minus its hubcaps, one odd whitewall tyre, no back bumper, a bit of rot breaking through, and torn everflex. Quality barge.
