I've had this strange kind of dirty secret which has now turned into an incesive hankering...I can hardly contain my urges anymore...Please Help!!!

Mrs C and the Cookettes think I'm barmy (they are close to having me sectioned under the Mental Health Act)....my boy is just too young to understand but a man has itches that sometimes just have to be scratched. I have wanted to 'out' myself for some time but just haven't had the 'bottle' to yield and make my skeleton public.

I am still the youthful side of 50 (41) I already have had several midlife crises, and this may me menapausal too.

Now, I know 3/5ths of F'all about this car, and not much else about the model. I do want a 2 door Continental R, but the funds just won't stretch another 20k at present (without selling my beloved TVR...It just ain't happening)...sooooo I kinda think this may be a start

Does anyone know the dealer, and what pit-falls should I look out for with this particular brand of four wheeled pornography. Is the price quoted reasonable? How easy are they to offload once I can afford the Continental and keep my Cerbie?
I love this colour combination and could that be a problem for residual value?

Sorry for all the questions, but this can't be put off for much longer.

I haven't dealt with them myself, but AFAIK, they are good guys and well respected. However, if you are going to buy one from a specialist dealer, I would speak to & visit Simon & Stuart at Phantom Motor Cars, they look after BG and are very well known and liked within the club, and come highly recommended by a few PH'ers too. I love these guys and would never go anywhere else.

I refer you to my previous suggestion.

Probably, depends on the car, I think you could buy as good if not better, with fewer miles for a bit less though.

Supply doesn't exactly outstrip demand, and they are a finite resource, as they are all getting older and leggier by the day, so exceptional examples are getting scarcer. Dealers & specialists are always on the look out for good stock.

Quite right, get one bought man! thumbup

IIRC Phil, did you end up behind me at the lights a few years back on a Romper run? and you had to drive blind through a huge pall of smoke left behind by BG burning rubber tank driving yikes hehe

If you are not in a raging hurry to buy right now, I would suggest going to the RREC Annual rally on 16th & 17th June and also to the BDC Annual rally on 30th June. You can just turn up as MOP and pay at the gate. I will be going to the RREC one this year and you are welcome to come with me in BG for the day. There will be hundreds and hundreds of cars to look at and owners to talk too, as well as manufacturer, dealer & specialist displays.

It's a Grand day out.

Please do, I will be getting a small group of PH'er friends along, making a bit of effort with smart/casual dress and a bit of a posh picnic.

Thank you for your kind offer, however due to Mrs C's insistance on a DB7, I shall be holding back on any decision regarding Bentley purchase until after BG has given me the Full SP et al on our forthcoming excursion.
