Does it fit in the garage?

It looks so incongruous on that normal suburban estate, just like BG on my drive.

nah it doesnt fit in the garage, its just wide enough but if it were to go in there would be 20 cm sticking out. This one lives in a secure underground car park with the rest. ill do the interior tomorrow.

I was in Geneva Tues and yesterday for the Motor Show, and Rolls-Royce had two Phantom Drophead coupes on show, with a Phantom in the VIP area.

Class.

Yesterday I spent most of the day cleaning a Mansory Phantom Conquestidator which made its world debut. Not only the paintwork was treated to a 'matt' finish, but also the brightwork. Alloys were 24"!! V12 fettled to 490hp and 168mph top speed.

I will try to post pictures here.

TBops, i saw your RR phantom in coventry on saturday night, i think it was yours, it was german registered, my friends thought it was some gangsters car, but i told them no , its just some geek from the internet

that car is wicked though, driving in a phantom in coventry is pretty cool too. people must think you are a dealer or a Nazi or something all the time, i parked my audi avant next to your RR and it dwarfed my car

tbops, i go to dogma too, thats the only place i go to in cov, there is that taxi rank outside but i always park my car outside on the taxi rank, i normally am driving a black volvo s60 as blinged up as possible, but still even i am careful where to park a car there!

i saw your car , and i got to say, i was amazed i saw a rr phantom in coventry, looked stunning! how many times you been stopped by the police in coventry> i have seen loads of phantoms in places like mayfair but never in the west midlands. If you ever buy another SLR, pls let me know too!

i was in coventry today and christ most people have really crap cars there, if i ever do see your car again i will hopefully see you, i am k321, just dont blow me up as i called u a geek on the internet- sorry, i was just joking

regards

K

havent been stopped yet in cov, touch wood. I think the police know that no one would be driving anything like this without the right paperwork. When i have somthing else out of storage ill bring it out and about ni cov centre, That taxi thing outside dogma is lame the cabbies get there knickers in right twists, the firestation palce was poor, the bouncers were jerks you had to pay to get in and the place had a crap atmosphere. Dogma is the only decent venue in cov unless you go warwick to varcitys for a mellow night out.

tbops, any chance of a spin in your rr phantom then? i mean you driving, me front passenger, and i will clean my trainers b4 i get in!

i am near cov, i have been stopped in coventry 3 times in the past 2 months, i think it is because i look young

and you are right, Dogma is the best place, i know the bouncers there, and its a very chilled out atmosphere in there with no trouble, warwick uni is good for girls though, i am surprised the bouncers in the firestation place were jerks, though from what i seen there always a queue to get in there and loads of wannabee cool people go there, not my scene really.

yeah edjits, inside was full of the older generation. i have no probs with this but i wish i was told before i got in as i was after more urban music and less smokey robinson.

As for taking oy for a spin i dont mind whatsoever, you will have to wait a bit though as the car is sitting on my drive with a flat tyre. either i get the valve replaced if thats the problem or get the whole tyre replaced for 900 bills or buy a new set of rims 22 inchers from states will be about 10k dollars. im in the middle of deciding.

yeah i saw your thread about 900 quid for one tyre? thats amazing! a sure rip off as well, i got 4 tyres on the porsche fo 670 quid recently from brittania tyres whereas porsche were trying to quote me 900 quid

maybe get your tyres direct from company, 22 inch rims, i heard you can get 24's for the phantom

so are you in your 30 or 40's? i am late 20's

yeah i will wait, i mean not everyday some guy who has a RR phantom will give a passenger ride, having said that some other guy on pistonheads picked me up from my house in a lambo gallardo 2 months ago

let me know please when you got your phantom sorted out

cheers

24'sin my eyes done look right. 22's just fill the arch enough with low profiles. Im in my mid 20's.the tyres are exclusive to rolls which is a bollock either way when its done ill pm you.

dumb question; it's a 3 ton car, but if at least 2 wheels are still on the ground (probably 3 with the length of the thing)...does that not mean a 2 ton jack will be fine?

Sheer curiosity; do they give you a tyre foam or are they run flats?

Ooh! it will be good to see some pics when they're on. Take care with jacking it won't you. It always worries me when I jack BG up, and that's only two and a half tons.
