I'm not sure what Octane I should be using - the dealer said "any", the handbook says something like "those vehicles designed to take the higher 98 octane should use that" - I would have thought all GT engines are the same. The petrol flap has a large 98 and then a smaller 95 like so 98/95.

I generally put regular 95 in all my cars (assuming that engine mapping sorts it out), but just wanted to run this by you...

Thanks

AKAIK the mapping will sort it out whatever grade you put in it, obviously it will go better on the good stuff, but you've got so much oomph anyway, a few Ron isnt goint to matter all that much.

Thanks for that.... It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be a firm recommendation from the manufacturer though.

The instruction manual for my RT makes it very clear that full power is only delivered on 98 or higher octane fuel, and that 95 is allowable only if 98 is not available.

I run my GT on 98 whenever possible and I think I can tell the difference but then again it might be wishful thinking! silly
