Hi all,
Just bought a 1996 bentley Turbo R Lwb, 20,000 miles.
First bentley.
metalic Black/ gunmetal colour with cream piped leather.
compared to my other cars it drives like a boat! But its nice, first day and got a passer by shouting "lovely" so hope i dont get to much bad attention, but no one seems to let you out at intersections ect... but used to that from the other cars.
looking forward to replies and people with same car or generally anyone.
kind regards,
Niko

Hi Warren. Having mixed feelings with it at the moment after some highs and lows. Its done nearly 5,000 miles since buying it in May and it keeps on coming up with little niggles which when investigated turn into big niggles. Usual story of when you start to poke around and get things sorted there seems to be an endless list! Had some paintwork done as well, some blisters appeared on front wheel arches so had them done. Considering getting another but lower mileage/nicer condition but who knows......... Overall still love it and nothing else can touch it for charm and occasion, even though the build quality is not Germanic!
Hi Niko
I'm another new owner. I needed a 4 door car and couldn't get enthusiastic about anything new, not to mention the inevitable depreciation on something like an AMG Merc, and I just can't get into 4x4s. So I just bought a '96 model Turbo R from Bentley Hampshire. Peacock blue with magnolia. 40,000-odd miles but with 17 main dealer stamps in the book. Just had the big hydraulic service. Bentley warranty. Totally mint condition. It's very much a classic car though and feels more like something from the 70s than the 90s, but I like that. The only negative is all the creaking from the interior, which I assume is a feature of all the leather panels rubbing against each other - any suggestions for easing that?
