You'd think a car like that would have a Vertu phone wouldnt you?

The Vertu phones are basically Nokia phones anyway, but seem to be older generation software for some reason.

I have spoken someone today who says the 2006 GT has Bluetooth capability, it’s a shame the cradles are not interchangeable like the Mercedes ones? Unless anyone knows any different?

I know, its crazy, with the 2006 Nokia software, I could have animated menu icons, ANIMATED woah!, or a 2MP camera!!! I don't know about you but I'd rather have 8 year old camera technology for snapping hilarious upskirt shots on the tube than a personalised concierge and a leather taken from the manufacturer of my car to match my needs. People NEED a single, technologically elite phone, as they could never afford 2 phones, how crazy would that be, a PDA with a phone built in AND a Vertu, not even Mr Gates could afford such extravagancy?!

Unfortunately, I was told that the latest Nokia software doesn't reduce dial tone time or make calls clearer but nevermind, you don't want a mobile phone to call people, thats just old fashioned, the 338 mechanical components, give me a faux metallic phone any day because Ill drop it down the toilets when I'm throwing up in Wetherspoons!

ETA 'framps' style additions.

The question was asked with all sincerity and my comment about the Vertu phone was only an observation and not a criticism.
Had I known all I was to get back in response was a sarcastic answer then I would not have bothered.
I can see why this forum is so quiet now with people replying to posts with such funny wit NOT.

Thanks anyway..

Are you 5 years old? Phone Bentley if you can't be bothered to step into a dealership and ask them. "NOT".

The car is superb, thanks for asking.

Such a difference to my previous car but I can see the attraction as the build quality and level of equipment is very comprehensive.

I haven’t really had a chance to give it a good run yet but it seems to be a very capable car and I’m looking forward to getting some miles under my belt.

As I mentioned earlier I asked a sincere question on this forum as my nearest dealer is not very local and despite three phone calls I had not heard back from them. I asked here as I thought you guys may have been able to answer my question but don’t worry I have no got the answers I needed.

I use a Nokia 6210i in mine and I believe that a 6210 will work. If you have difficulty in sourcing the phone drop me a note through my profile and I may be able to help although I'm currently in Dubai on the way to Sydney so you might not get the fastest response!

Cheers!
Flash.

Generally manufacturers seem to be way behind on technology like sat nav, phone kits etc... the after market kits are far cheaper and far better (especially true with sat nav). The pain is that after-market kits are not fully integrated (either visually or technically) - a big problem for sat nav, but perhaps not such a problem with phones.

The Nokia aftermarket BT phone kit is what I would go with... it also means that you are not stuck with a phone from the dark ages which you can never upgrade because it doesn't fit your car cradle.
