wihtout wishing to appear awkward, if you dont have the right kit how are you able to service it properly?

If its within the dealer network, they should have the kit for it, if not, and you are at an independent, then Phantom Motor Cars have probably got the kit to turn the lights off for you.

we are a independent and the customer dislikes the local dealer, and as we service all his company cars and all his own cars which he has many, he asked us to service the Bentley,
you only thing we cant sort out is the service lights

Hmmm, dont really know then Dave. If the kit is generic VAG stuff, you local VAG dealer might be able to do it, I dare say the ECU and ports are the same as the Phaeton W12.

You might also be able to buy them, either through the proper channels or on e-bay.

I must be missing something here... if you dont have the ecu handheld unit that plugs in, how are you able to see any fault codes logged on the car?

And if you cant, how can you service it properly?
