I guess you are learning lot from the 12/4. Think similar but bigger.
I think Dad's 20hp used to do about 20mpg, the 20/25 is slightly larger so might be a bit less.
Royce used to design with lots and lots of small nuts and bolts, also the bits are bigger than the Austin.

With low milage the service costs will be low, but if something goes wrong it could add up. Remember we're talking 70 year old cars here. The speciallists can do lovely work - but at a cost. A trip round the stands at the RREC anuual rally (usually June/July in Northants) is always worthwhile. We went in the MkVI last year. The RREC also do a technical seminar at Hunt House on the Small Horsepower Cars that is worth attending if you get one.
I think cylinder heads was a concern, but batches have been produced, and I think they have (mechanical) servo assisted brakes, which will be novel.
