Hi, just bought a gen 3 GTC. only done 6k miles.seem to have a little wind noise on the nearside with the hood up but can't pinpoint it. Anyone else experienced this. Also the wind deflector is not as efficient on this model as the last models, or is it me being fussy? Ridiculously small boot, don't know how you're meant to tour in this! Took two hours reading the handbook learning about all the new systems that will never be used. Chose the W12 this time, very quick. Also if anyone is contemplating one of these make sure you get the Naim stereo system, absolutely superb.Cheers Harry.

Totally agree with all u say,the gen 2 car has larger boot, superb wind deflector and much quieter,I've just changed from a 21 to last of the gen 2 cara as I couldntnlivevthe pathetic boot space.
Interesting you should say this. I bought a Gen 2 over a Gen 3, largely because I still cannot get used to the back end of the 3. Also, two years ago the Gen 2 was fantastic value. In light of your comments I am pleased I did!I wanted a 2018 Gen 2 Speed convertible, but they are like hen's teeth, so I had to get one a tad older. The joy of Bentleys (and Rollers) is that you can choose a past model and find one with only a few months worth of mileage.
Just a cautionary tale, the most rearward section of the roof frame has a tendancy to stress fracture, this is generally caused by people operating whilst driving too quickly , mine lost two 2cm chunks out of the frame which ended up exploding forward into the bottom of the rear seats footwell , took me ages to work out why there would be black painted chunks of aluminium in the car, however i traced it back and discovered where they had come from . As a result the rear deck didnt seal properly to the roof on one side and wind noise appear overnight . In reality there shouldnt be any windnoise on one of these whatsoever. So id have someone check the alignment of the roof make sure the frame is intact and not damaged ,fractured ,twisted and is seating properly. this is only from memory so i stand corrected if any one has any different info but i think for a complete fabric hood and glass only you are looking at about £5k and for the total replacement £12k from Bentley , prices may have altered a bit as that was back in 2018.Anyway hope that helps
