Silver Spirit fuelling problem
Discussion
My ‘82 Silver Spirit has been stood for a few weeks won’t start.
There’s at least 6 gallons of fuel in the tank but fuel isn’t reaching the carbs. The fuel pump is running constantly and sounds like it’s cavitating.
I suppose the next logical thing to do would be to disconnect the fuel pump outlet pipe to make sure it is pumping and to check that the pipe run to the carbs is unobstructed but I’m worried that if I inadvertently damage the end of the pipe, she’ll dump 6 galls + in the driveway, before I can reconnect it.
Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome.
