ANY HELP APPRECIATED!

Hello I have had a Bentley GT parked up for a long time after restarting the car and it turning on with the ignition I have had quite an unusual fault….

When I was driving the car originally I lost power steering and the ABS lights and another error light showed up, shortly after the computer system and also the engine completely stopped. (The key is stuck in the ignition for a min or two whilst I wait for the car to be able to turn on again)

After a minute I’m able to restart the car with the key in the ignition but after a while the engine and computer always seem to cut out Completely with no power / movement in the engine and the onboard computer system resets itself.

Can anybody help please ?

I can’t help but maybe for those that can it would be handy to know what you consider ’a long time’ as it will be different for everyone. Good luck though!

I've no specific Bentley knowledge, but is that the battery warning lamp lit? The accepted wisdom is that modern high-end cars are very sensitive to the condition of the battery, plus having it standing for two months will have done it no good unless you were float charging it.

The worrying thing is the engine stopping completely as it leaves me stranded with the key in the ignition for a minute or two before being able to restart it again!

LHS battery is failing .It’s knackered and can’t hold charge .It runs everything so voltage drops in various ECUs and they trigger the xmas light show .
Replace the bigger LHS bat and next time use a trickle charger for long periods of inactivity.

Plug in a VAG OBD scanner if poss and do a quick scan even the basic non VAG scanners on eBay can give you the basic code errors and clear code reset ability . As you know you have two batteries on that car first point of call check that pair for enough CCA and also that your alternator is changing a minimum of 13.9 and 14.8 volts pray it is as that is the entire front of the car off to replace it . Then check your MAF sensors are clear of all debris and dust and spiders webs and and crap that has been sucked in whilst you left it for a period. Lastly there is a sensor under the brake pedal which has a catastrophic effect on the car when it goes , as it did on mine combined with the maf sensor was a total clusterfk, bings bongs lights flashing, brake error lights, abs lights , misfires ,clouds of smoke loss of power gearbox wouldn't shift properly , stuck in first gear and all because of the bding MAF and faulty £14 brake sensor. That's where I would start. All the best !!

Also worth checking the grounding points for corrosion....
