Exact fuse box location
Discussion
I am trying to locate exactly where the fuse box is on my CGT, MY 2004.
The rear screen is not demisti g and the petrol lock door is not locking, the relays and fuses for these I think are located under the passenger footwell?
I have a diagram of the relays, but need to know how much carpet to strip back in the passenger footwell/near passenger seat.
Thanks

Hi Excited owner.
If you are sitter in the drivers seat, the fuse box is infront of your knees behind a leather panel.
However, the two items, you mentioned, the Heated Rear Window is working, but they are a bit poor. The lines on the window are very fine, so they won’t clear heavy condensation.
The fuel flap not opening, will be the drivers door switch pack, it’s very common.

Thank you for the reply. If you are sitter in the drivers seat, the fuse box is infront of your knees behind a leather panel.

I need to access that particular fusebox with the relays.I have the diagram too.
The rear screen has two components, the hearer line and the heated screen, both don't work and each one has its own relay in that fuse box.
The fuel flap fuse is also located there.
When I purchased the car, the passenger footwell was a bit wet,I think some water my have gone in there around d the fusebox.
Just wanted to know whereabouts it is before I start taking carpet out.
Thanks

If the passenger floor is damp then you must rectify that as a matter of urgency otherwise your KESSY module will die, and you will not be able to start the car.
Zulu 10 is right. You really need to fix that water leak. If moisture gets in the KESSY unit, that will be a big expensive repair. Zulu 10 said:
The three relays that you have mentioned are in the left rear wing, just above the battery.

Just after I purchased the car about 4 weeks ago, it was wet but it has been dry ever since, I think k it is to do with the leaves blocking the drain plugs in the engine, a common vw/audi problem.
Also am aware of the issue of the ecu as I ha e owned 4 Audi A8 including an S8 and one of my A8s had water in passenger footwell, I had to get n new ecu and get it re programmed, not cheap.
I will get the drain plugs checked ASAP.
Also may look at sealing/putting a waterproof liner on the black box holding the KESSY module.
Regarding the location of the relays that is slightly better news.
Thanks

Looks like the fuses are fine,
The demister light comes on but the element or glass do not work.
Not sure if there is anything I can check?
For the HRW: Can you hear whether the appropriate relays (C0433 and C0434) are being pulled in by the Rear Body Control Module? The demister light comes on but the element or glass do not work.

If no, then you need to be looking at whether the Rear BCM is actually being commanded to switch them on. For that you'll need VCDS or ODIS.
If yes, then it can only be the wiring to the element or elements themselves. To check these, with the car switched off, you could connect a DVM between the relay output and ground.
If this confirms that both are open circuit, then the only other thing to do is remove the interior three-quarter panels to get to the interface from cable to screen. The positive feeds are half way down the glass on the driver's side. Both grounds are opposite them, on the passenger side.
Similarly the Fuel Flap door relay (the small one in the top row) is commanded by the Rear BCM, so again you could check whether it's being asserted.
