When I put my ignition on without starting the engine the system checks throws up two 'faults' the oil/battery one and the Throttle control one.
As soon as the engine is started they go and car is driving fine.
Is this normal and can I clear them myself, I can't see any form of dash controlled computer in car (its new to me)
Also where is the OBD port I can't even find on the internet where it could be!

I've not driven an Arnarge, though it's an evolution of the SZ platform that includes my Turbo R so may be similar. The battery/oil warning being on when the ignition is on but the engine isn't running is normal and as long as it goes away when the engine is running then it's nothing to worry about. I don't know about the throttle control one, the Turbo R doesn't seem to have an equivalent. I suspect as it's going out when you start the engine it's also nothing to worry about, but it would be good if someone with an Arnarge can confirm, or if there's anything in the manual that explains it.
On the Turbo R the OBD port (when fitted, it wasn't on earlier cars) is under a clip on cover in the glove box, the service and maintenance manual for your car should tell you where it is but if you've not got that the glove box would be a good place to look.

I have a 2000 Red Label. The warning lights all cycle through when the ignition is turned on. It got me, the first time! Only worry if the warnings are on when the engine is running.
The OBD port is under the steering wheel and even as OBDII my understanding is that it will only deal with limited faults. You need the official tool to do anything more. Depending where you are there are some great specialists out there - Bolton (UK) - Bowling-Ryan for example.
FWIW my 2000 Red Label, built on 19/11/99 is OBD1.5! Which is a bummer.
