Hi there,

I am looking at spending £30k-£40k on a 3rd car for the household. I was looking at the DB9 but am being increasingly drawn to the Continental GT.

I liked them new and they seem to offer a great deal more car than the Aston Martin without the 'Bond baggage' which I am not a fan of.

Once my building work is finished and my new garage is in then I'll be looking to buy, so realistically this winter.

Is there anything I should be aware of?
Are there specialists who are recommended? (I'm in the South West)
Is there a spec or trim that is worth paying the extra for?
Code readers and limited DIY, what do you do, how much can you do?

Thanks in advance.

I use this company to look after my GT .

https://www.specialistcars-southwest.co.uk/

Service Manager is Paul Mascard. Very helpful chap .

Chief Technician is Craig . Again very helpful and more than willing to dicuss any issues and servicing .

Can't fault them so far .

Q " Is there a spec or trim that is worth paying the extra for? "

A . Some prefer the Mulliner interior finish . The SPEED version gives you more BHP .

" Code readers and limited DIY, what do you do, how much can you do? "

A . I'm quite happy to tinker with lesser cars than the Bentley , but GT's are extremely complex so I leave mine to the professionals .
