Looking to purchase Bentley Conti GT £45-50k - advise sought
Discussion
Hi, I've been lurking for a while and going through this forum and thought i'd post now. Some incredibly helpful advise.
We are looking to purchase a Bentley Continental GT in the next few months. We have about £45-50k to spend. From reading what people have posted and taking some advise given we have narrowed our options down to:-
A second generation post 2011 model (our range looks like 2011-2013) ideally with the V8 rather than the W12 due to fuel efficiency and easier access for servicing. Though they are rarer so we might end up with a W12.
We'd be looking at the Mullineux spec with rear view camera and adding an iPhone compatibility upgrade to the entertainment system post-purchase.
I think mileage wise the ones we've looked at are 20-50k. I can see on the service schedule that things to watch for are plug replacement and ensuring that it's not just minimal servicing. But hoping an inspector will pick up on most things.
If you had a list of questions to ask the dealer prior to getting an inspector out what would they be?
We live in London and we'd appreciate people's advise on who might be a good person to inspect the car prior to purchase?
Any other general tips welcome!

I was advised to avoid the V8 due to potential turbo problems - oil supply failure leading to damaged turbo leading to damaged engine. Do a search for "Engine difficult to start - Turbocharger damaged - V8 4.0TFSI".
VAG solution was to add a mesh strainer to the oil supply to the turbos but I don't think this addressed the fundamental issues with the oil supply design.
