How to rotate engine without using starter motor?

I have been advised that there is an inspection cover located on the underside rear of the engine at the bellhousing / engine interface, with the cover removed the flywheel ring gear teeth are exposed which can be used/levered to rotate the engine. This sounds exactly what I need.

Is this for the 6.75 liter engine?

If so, you'll need one of these, or you can rotate the engine at the flywheel
